Munros 4 & 5 - Meall Corrnaich and Meall a’ Choire Leith

I could get really used to spending my weekends hillwalking. It's weird because that's something I NEVER ever thought I would think. Last weekend, I bagged Munros number 4 and 5 up at Ben Lawers. We set off from Edinburgh around 8am and starting heading up Meall Cornaich around 10.30am.

We stopped halfway up for lunch with a view and to apply more sun cream before heading to the top. There was quite a bit of scrambling to get up since we didn't take the path, but we made it up in pretty quick time to some amazing views over the valley.

Once we got to the top, we headed over a ridge to Meall a' Choire Leith. It was fairly easy walk compared to the first Munro, and we even came across a patch of snow to cool us all down on what turned out to be a really, really hot afternoon.

We spent some time at the top before we headed back down. I always tend to forget how long it takes to come back down, especially if you end up at a different side of the Munro than you started at. So that's 5 Munros down and 279 to go!
